Volunteering at “Annual Global Nagpur Summit-2016”

Nagpur First (NF) – a group of enthusiastic people who were born, raised, educated or worked in Nagpur, and love Nagpur, taking a step toward its vision being catalyst for realizing “Nagpur – a global city by 2020”, is organizing the summit under the banner of Global Nagpur Summit which includes activities like Global Leadership Talk, City Growth Conference, Global Nagpur Awards, Global Investors Conclave and many more.

This time, as always, Lemon School of Entrepreneurship co-sponsored the event along with the likes of Uber, Haldiram’s, TCS, 94.3 My FM and much more.

Being the entrepreneur student at Lemon School of Entrepreneurship we got the golden opportunity to volunteer and attend in this prestigious summit. We were handling the registration desk by efficiently distributing entry passes to the attendees and escorting them to their respective seats.

The Event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Union cabinet Minister in Govt. of India – Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Mr. Acharya Balkrishna – Managing Director of Patanjali Ayurveda.

Mr. Nitin Gadkari shared the blueprint of his vision regarding the Emerging Smart City – Nagpur. He won the hearts of audiences by showering his visionary plans. Acharya Balkrishnaji described the concept of Swadeshi Revolution named Patanjali, he brought to the people of India where products are Made in India, Sold in India and Profits must remain in India. He had shown his keen interests in Nagpur for the upcoming plant in MIHAN (The Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport).

Panelists include Mr. Paramjeet Ahuja – Chairman IIA-Nagpur, Dr. Nemy Banthia – Professor, University of British Columbia, Canada, Mr. Ramnath Sonawane – Addi. Municipal Commissioner – Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Mr. Rahul Bagdia – Director – pManifold Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and many more, gave informative and insightful thoughts on topics like Smart Cities, Growth thorough intern’l co-operation, Leveraging human and natural resources for global opportunities etc…

On the Second day, we got to listen from eminent speakers like Mr. Prasad Patala – VP & GM-Bexel Pharma Inc. The USA, Mr. Vivek Khanna – Senior VP – Wardha Organic, Dr. Gurmukh Advani – MD-Getinge India and many more, gave informative and insightful thoughts on topics like How to make the most out of Pharma Industry?, Leveraging Food & Agro-industry opportunities etc…

Amo Kalar – Deputy trade and investment commissioner, British Deputy High Commission shared his views on Opportunities that are open to investing in UK and Trade relationships between India-UK.

Last but not the least, two great personalities including Mr. Lokesh Ranjan Srivastava – COO-Aerospace-TAL and Mr. Ashutosh Tripathi – Plant Head- Mahindra & Mahindra- Nagpur shared the success of their respective companies.
