Being in the crowd of tech enthusiasts and young innovators, Lemon again successfully enlightened the many minds of St. Vincent Palloti College of Engineering & Technology (SVPCET) on 5th and 6th July 2017. Training was attended by a mixed population of students from different branches comprising of 200+ students and lecturers. The training was directed into 4 phases which were executed in 2 days schedule. The first phase of the training started at morning 10 am on Wednesday, 5th July. It comprised of the entrepreneurship orientation of participants by Mr. Mukesh Ashar- Chair Behaviour Science, LSE, delivering the basic aspects of entrepreneurship. His session helped the students about essentials that an individual requires for being an entrepreneur. Mr. Ashar stressed on the fact that entrepreneurship has no age bar and explained the difference between business and entrepreneurship and also highlighted the various relevant aspect related to Entrepreneurship with the help of examples and scenarios. He shared through his experience that nowadays a person who is able to identify the problems in the society and convert it into a successful venture can boom his start-up. The next session was by Mr. Shishir Turkar, Lemon Mentor, where he spoke about Entrepreneurs Personality. In his session, he emphasized on the lines that,“Entrepreneurs are not born, they are made.” He highlighted the various attributes of a successful entrepreneur viz. aggressiveness, Burning Desire to Succeed, Desire to Learn, Innovativeness and Creativity and Out-of-Box Thinking. Also, an activity was conducted in which the students were made to do a task individually and as a team. The objective of the activity was to test the resourcefulness, Out of box thinking and teamwork of participants.
Next day i.e; on 6th July the 3rd session was conducted by Mr. Deepak Menaria, Chief-Idea Farmer, Lemon Ideas. He spoke about the basic facts about turning Idea to reality, where he described the whole process of how the ideas are born and converted into a real venture. He also conducted an activity wherein he asked the participants to write down their idea, 16 participants shared their ideas and Out of these 16 ideas, 2 ideas were selected and discussion on how these ideas would be converted into start-up in a step-by-step process. Through this session, everyone was able to understand the process of Ideation, Exploration, Experimentation, and execution. He also Introduced the concept of the Idea dating to the audience by giving the Jockey and horse example.
The last session of the training was by real life role model talk. Mr. Narendra Jog- Director Jog Hospitality and Caters Pvt. Ltd. Shared his experience about how he started his business journey, ups and downs, experiences, how he dealt with situations etc. He inspired students to achieve their dreams by giving whatever it takes through his experiences and real life journey. The evening session concluded with start-up talk by Mr. Quaiz Husain- Co-Founder, Buzzinga Labs, a startup working in the domain of Virtual Reality and incubated by Lemon Ideas. and Arbob Mehmood as an aspiring entrepreneur who spoke about his idea and his plans.
